Research On The Design Method Of Waterfront Land Scape For Small Towns Based On The3R Concept

As the bridge and link between megacities and medium-sized cities and rural areas,small towns show great significance in promoting the construction of urban-ruralintegration in China. Currently, promoted by the fast development of urbanization, smalltowns have developed into a prosperous period with many opportunities, high startingpoint and great changes. Compared with the achievement of economic construction,problems (due to the lack of scientific planning and efficient guide, plus disorderedmanagement in the following period) existing in the landscape environment of smalltowns need to be solved quickly. Waterfront space with the diversity of landscapeelements and sensitive ecological environment has become an important component oflandscape system in small towns, which deserves to be studied by aim and providedpractical design strategy.Based on the background, exploration on researches about small town and waterfrontlandscape at home and abroad is done at first. Then the main focuses of researches onsmall town and waterfront landscape at home and abroad is analyzed and concluded andthe deficiencies of the researches are discussed. At last, Through the analysis andsummarizing of landscape character of small towns and the present situation of waterfrontlandscape in small towns, a theoretical framework of research method on waterfrontlandscape design of small towns is put forward.The core part of this paper is the main content of the constructing3R" type oflandscape design method, which includes two aspects:Firstly, combined with the background the two-oriented society construction in China,3R(Reducing, reusing and recycling) principles in recycle economy are introduced into thewaterfront landscape construction strategies of small towns in this paper. Studies on thederivation and reflection of the3R principle in contemporary landscape design are madeand the implementation road is formed from ambiguity to clarity. Then concept of3Rtype landscape is defined and details of "3R" type landscape are summarized.Secondly,3R type landscape design method is divided into the operationalprocesses of three steps which are input, process and output. Then the implementation measures on specific elements of each stage(reducing control at the input stage, reusingguides at the process stage and recycling technologies supports at the output stage) aresummarized.At last, Yuqing River Waterfront Landscape Design at Yuqing County is taken as anexample to support the research content and the technical path proposed in this paper andverify the reasonability and viability of this research.
