Submarine plays a very significant role in the future naval battles. However, thesubmarine accidents happened frequently in the world. Every country pays a lot ofattention in it. Currently, the high pressure air blowing is one of the major means ofemergency to obtain buoyancy. Numerical simulation is carried through by the softwareFLUENT,using VOF method to trace the gas-liquid interface. First, this dissertation givesa working condition as an example to describe the situation in the tank. Then, otherdifferent working conditions are given as contrasts. It includes some parts as follows:At first, the theoretical model and mathematical model are introduced as well as themethod to calculate flow rate of water. Then, the test device of high pressure air blowing isintroduced. And the simplified physical model is also given. Then, the dissertation simulates the process of high pressure air blowing by usingVOF method to trace the gas-liquid interface. The liquid surface deformation and the gasvolume fraction changing by time are given by simulation. The distribution of air andwater in different period is specifically described. And the theoretical values are comparedwith the simulation results. At last, the factors affecting the process like entrance pressure, setting pressure, gassource are discussed. The simulation result of a certain real ballast tank is also given. Theresult can be used to direct the research of high pressure air blowing process.
