With the development of the national economy and industrial technology, althoughsocial electrification level increased significantly, but high-power electric equipment andnonlinear power electronic devices have been widely used. Such as harmonic, three-phaseimbalance, voltage fluctuation and flicker and voltage transient, voltage dip sharply comeout. The power quality problems will not only influence the stability of electric powersystem economic operation, but also damage electrical device, disturb the social production,resulting in a large number of economic cost. The reliable comprehensive power qualitydetection device will ensure the reliability of power supply and have a great significance forthe quality of power supply.This article has a research of the concept, classification and standard of the powerquality and has a analysis of the current power quality testing method and testing device, anddoes a further study of the present situation of the theoretical measurement algorithm,designs a kind of comprehensive detection device based on DSP and ARM. The device cannot only analysis the steady power quality event, but also the unsteady ones such as pulseimpact and oscillation transient.With the use of digital signal processing technology and embedded technology, Thissystem realizes different function according to the characteristics of various power qualityevents. For the average power quality events, DSP accomplish the measurement andanalysis work by Using high-speed16-bit A/D converter for high speed real-time samplingof each phase current, voltage. For the power system transient power quality events, thispaper designs a high-speed data acquisition system based on the ARM processor,Which ismultifunctional and highly interactive, this system uses hardware logic circuit to completethe control function, which enhance the data acquisition speed greatly.So it can measure thetransient, voltage sag. The hardware circuit and software of the system have been designed.
