Highway Traffic Safety Analysis And Evaluation Studies

In recent years, with the increasing number of highway mileage in China, traffic safetyhas become increasingly serious and traffic accident mortality rate has been highest on theworld in a nearly decade. Highway traffic accidents threaten people’s security and property,moreover, they lead to the low efficiency of the high way performance. Therefore, theanalysis and evaluation on the highway traffic safety play a significant role in theoreticalsignificance and practical significance.In this paper, the study of highway traffic safety evaluation, aims to establish an effectiveevaluation index system of highway traffic safety, the highway traffic safety situation ofobjective, comprehensive and systematic analysis and evaluation, find problems in time, findout deficiency, take measures to prevent in advance, improve the safety of highway traffic,protect people’s life and property security, promoting the harmonious development ofeconomy and society.In this paper, we make a comprehensive and systematic analysis on traffic safety impactfactors and traffic accident features from the view of system construction on the bases of thestatus of traffic safety. By analyzing the traffic safety impact factors, such as people, vehicle,road, traffic environment, we find out the main factors of highway traffic accident. We alsocreate the evaluation index of highway traffic, based on the principle of the evaluationestablishment and method of evaluation selecting. Make quantitative evaluation processingand use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weight of each evaluation index.On the basis of comparing many kinds of evaluate method comprehensively, we create thehighway traffic safety evaluation model by the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.And carries on the comprehensive evaluation of highway traffic safety situation. In the lastpart of the paper, by analysis of specific examples, we have proved that the highway trafficevaluation system and evaluation model are of great applicability and feasibility.
