The rural road is an important part of the national road network, which connect to the county,township, village, even being the one transport corridors to some poor areas. At the same time, the task ofrural road construction is onerous, and the construction funds is relative lack of.Because of asphaltmaterial prices continuing to climb, which is increasing the cost of rural road construction asphaltpavement, needing further study of the applicability of the asphalt pavement in the rural highway. In ruralareas are rich in natural resources, cement, lime, sand, mountain sand, gravel and other materials. Thetechnology of constructing cement concrete pavement construction had matured. Traditional cementconcrete pavement surface is layer thickness, higher cost. As to less traffic, the load lighter rural road, whatis resulting in a great waste. Therefore, under conditions of limited sources of funding, combined withlocal economic development, traffic conditions, material characteristics, environmental characteristics andother factors, what is extremely important to reduce investment in highway construction.Firstly analyzing and summarizing of the relevant literature and research. Combining with theXianning City, do research on a different plane size, different board thickness, different material structurecomposed of Portland cement concrete pavement, which generate load stress by traffic load andtemperature warping stress by temperature gradient. Drawing a conclusion there is a law under the loadstress and temperature warping stress effecting. Combining with the design specifications the reasonabledesign size of thin layer cement concrete pavement is summarized. Finally, the reasonable combination ofa thin layer of cement concrete pavement for rural road plane size and construction measures can berecommend. At the same time, do the economic benefit analysis.
