Under the effect of concrete shrinkage and creep, changes happen to the long-spanself-anchored suspension bridge which mainly includes stress variation and deformationthat will directly affect the long-span self-anchored suspension bridge’s bearing capacity.So the influence calculation of shrinkage and creep has become an important step that mustbe considered in the design and construction of large-scale statically indeterminatestructure.This article firstly introduces the mechanism of concrete creep and shrinkage, variousinfluence factors of creep and shrinkage, creep and shrinkage theory and calculationmethods. In addition, related specifications about the concrete creep and shrinkagecalculating of countries around the world are analyzed. Structure finite element analysis of along-span self-anchored suspension bridge was done using the finite element analysissoftware MIDAS/CIVIL2010. By comparing results of various calculation methods,obtained the calculation method which can get the maximum value of creep and shrinkage.Then considered the overall deformation influence of shrinkage and creep deformationseparately on long-span self-anchored suspension bridge and Analyzed the time periodwhen shrinkage and creep effect play the leading role in the overall effect. Besides, thetiming when shrinkage effect and creep effect tends to be stable were discussed separately.Finite element analysis in construction process of a long-span self-anchored suspensionbridge was done using the finite element analysis software MIDAS/CIVIL2010.Considering the overload phenomenon in actual casting, structure finite element calculationwas done with the method of changing density. Structure dynamic effects of a long-spanself-anchored suspension bridge were analyzed. Changes of natural frequencies and naturalvibration modes under the long-term effect of shrinkage and creep were calculated. Besides,influences of long-term shrinkage and creep on dynamic effect of structure were analyzedas well.By calculating the static effect and the natural vibration characteristics influence ofshrinkage and creep on long-span self-anchored suspension bridge,the results show that thestatic calculation results of different shrinkage and creep calculation modes for long-spanself-anchored suspension bridge has a certain difference.Creep and shrinkage leading time has some difference in the overall deformation,Creep and shrinkage reduce the influence ofstructural natural vibration frequency,but the natural vibration mode does not radically change.Results explain: shrinkage and creep for long-span self-anchored suspension bridge obviouslyimpact the static performance, has negligible effect on natural vibration characteristics.Calculation results of the analysis plays a certain reference role in engineering constructiondesign practice.
