Modified Bitumen Of Natural Asphalt’s Pavement Performance Research

With the developing of transportation industry, the application of natural bitumen inasphalt concrete pavement is more and more widely. Due to the excellent characteristics ofnatural asphalt, the domestic performance research of natural bitumen adding petroleumasphalt for road improvement is more and more.Refer to the research at home and abroad, this article mainly uses the method ofcombining theory and test. And the road performance of improvements for natural asphalt topetroleum asphalt is studied. Through the modification research of different content of naturalbitumen adding petroleum, the conclusion is that natural asphalt could improve the pavementperformance of petroleum, such as the high temperature performance, the temperaturesensitivity, the durability and the adhesion. And with the improvement of the natural bitumen,the pavement performance is also changing. But it has the negative influence to the lowtemperature properties.Based on the study of asphalt modification, we ensure the influence of the naturalbitumen of Sichuan to asphalt. Through the research for experimental result, the reasonabledose of adding of natural bitumen for good road performance is proposed.Based on the structure and properties of the asphalt modification before and after, theimproving mechanism is discussed. Using the experiment of GPC, we could come aconclusion that natural bitumen improves the asphalt in Microcosmic Aspect, such asconstituent content.
