| Compared with Plain River, the mountain river bend is more, and its hydropower is largebecause that the riverbed gradient is steeper. Normally, the sediment is in a state ofunsaturated, which making mountain river’ riverbed is in the state of scouring-cut. Besides,the shape of the mountain river changes of varying, which leads the riverbed recurrentlyarising significant siltation and erosion temporarily. From the current study, we know that thestudy of the flow patterns and erosion characteristics about the corners of the mountain riveris not deep enough, and needs carrying out systematic test and theoretical analysis for it.However, the model test is one of the most simple and efficient way. The river model test canmore accurately demonstrate some of the natural evolution of the river. And also canaccurately predict the riverbed trends in a particular of flow conditions. Determining the flowregime of Natural River, the level and extent of erosion in this flow condition, it can provide areliable basis for river management and construction design department, and the design andprotection of along the highway embankment.The paper mainly takes the flood control project of Bay-change-River in AnkangZhenping County Power Station in Shaanxi Province as an example for carrying out physicalmodel tests. It details the design methods of river model, and carries out some tests for avariety of different engineering solutions. It measures the flow regime of the change of theriver in a different of flood frequencies, and the erosion characteristics in the water level orcorners. It analysis and comparisons of various engineering solutions of flow velocity, waterlevel elevation and the scour depth of corners’ local office in each flood frequencies.It can be drawn coming to the following by analyzing the results of model tests. Firstly,for the same Engineering solutions, since corners’ river channel’ width is fixed, itsfundamental flood wave is similar, it’s just increase the water level and flow rate of thehydraulic elements with the changes in flow. Secondly, different changes in river programs,it’s outside of river bend shows erosion status in different flood frequencies. And the localscour depth is different with different bend radius. Thirdly, for the purposes of flood controland flood frequency standard, that is20-year flood, the second scheme of changing in riverprograms, that is midline program, it’s most conducive to flood discharge, it is with minimal impact on overall changes in the river flow for the transformation of river downstream. At thesame time, the results of the experiment provide an important reference value for other designof physical model, and it enriches the theoretical study of Mountain River’s bed erosion. |
