Low-grade highway in China occupy larger proportion of the total mileage ofhighway.With the increase of people on the roadside safety emphasis, Low-grade highwaydesign, construction and the beginning of the operation revealed security issues, become thefocus needs to be considered in low-grade roads to Transformation and upgrading.In this paper, the status quo of China’s low-grade roads roadside safety features, from anumber of factors that affect the safety of the roadside, analysis the rule of low gradehighway roadside accident, in order to get the main factors of the impact of roadside safety.Combining engineering practice, the establishment of the theory based on the grey cluster4the lateral danger rating assessment, and proceeded to put forward a different risk levelsshould be set up under the protective type facilities. Provides a simple and practicalmethods and more scientific design based on a reasonable set of highway roadside safetyfacilities.This paper introduces the roadside on the design and definition of the concept oftolerance specific application-"Roadside clear zone", the roadside net area definitions,calculation methods and linear guide, roadside roadside obstacles and roadside environmentsafety systems were discussed, proposed tolerance design, flexible design, harmoniousdesign for the soul of the roadside security design.Finally, summary of techniques and countermeasures to solve security issues inlow-grade roads roadside. To the side of the road safety tolerant design concept as a guide,from the roadside safety active prevention of road signs, marking, common obstacles toroadside drainage facilities, processing, and the guardrail, the collapse of the energydissipation facilities protection design technology and the set point. And give a summary ofthe article and Prospect.
