The paper does research and design on the automatic reclaiming system of asphaltpavement milling machine for circular pothole. The invention patent of asphalt pavementmilling machine for circular pothole has changed the traditional asphalt cold millingequipment the way of milling the pavement, now the new one has taken the vertical millingaxis, and the style of milling pothole is circular. After milled, the machine can automaticallycomplete the milled debris recycling and clean-up of the potholes. The equipment requiresreclaiming system to convey and settle the milled debris in the milling pothole, and thecleanliness should meet the paving requirements. Wherefore, the paper takes advantage of theprinciple of negative pressure air-solid two phase flow, and then has designed the reclaimingsystem of the automatic reclaiming system of asphalt pavement milling machine for circularpothole with a fan, settling chamber, swivel joints and suction port.Firstly, the paper does analyze and research on the physical characteristics of the milleddebris, including particle size, density change, dust particles wrap and mixed flow kineticcharacteristics of gas-solid flow transport.Secondly, the paper focus on the research of the blower system, delivery performance,the combination of dust, dust separation system, the airflow route design, to ensure bettersuction and settling effects. Meanwhile, according to the huge differences of the asphaltpavement milled debris particle size, designing the wet spray in the delivery line, in order toincrease the opportunity of the coagulation and capture between the particles.Finally, the paper designs the structure of the suction port and the settling chamber. Ituses the FLUENT fluid mechanics simulation software on suction process of the suction portand the separation and settlement process inside the settling chamber, finding out the lack ofthe structure of them, and then optimization them. Under the case that the suction portopening size remains unchanged, the milled debris in the process from the suction port intothe pipette will not be settling, by the change of the passage section causing air velocity toomuch sudden change. So it needs to increase the inner space of the suction port, thus thesuction effect will be greater, and the milling pothole cleaning effect will have a much better guarantee. In order to make the milled debris of the dust stream in the settling chamber fullsettlement, it installs baffle structure and filter screen into the settling chamber, coupling witheffective wet spray measures, so that the settling effect of settling chamber will be better.The reclaiming system of asphalt pavement milling machine for circular pothole is usedto clean up circular pothole after milling, which makes up for the defects of the work surfacewhere has a small amount of milled debris after the milling work, and also makes the newmilling pothole directly reach paving standards. In addition, it solves the reliable bond issuesbetween the newly paved asphalt surface and the basis of surface after milling, saving timeand labor.
