Currently, with the rapid growth of China’s economy, gradually acceleratingurbanization, the Urban Renewal and Historic District Protection have become the focusof public concern. On the one hand, the city’s Muslim community is located in the oldand historic district, on the other hand, it is a traditional residential area where HuiMuslim live in. With long years of baptism, it has precipitated a unique Islamic cultureand community-based space environment. Now, with the tight supply of urban landresources, increasing intensity of urban development, such external factors graduallyhave affected the Muslim ghettos gradual sense of community, a sense of belonging.This paper is against the status quo, to the city’s Muslim community publicbuildings-mosques as the starting point, combing the intrinsic relevance of mosquebuilding and Muslim communities, discovering the core quality of the mosques to buildthe place spirit in the Muslim community.American Arab-Islamic studies expert Hitti once mentioned that “Islam concentriccirclescompare” to the mosques “spectacle” scattered around the world, and that “inorder to illustrate the cultural exchange between Muslims and their neighbors, lestnothing more mosques as exemplifies.” From the Prophet Muhammad involved inbuilding the Kufa mosque to the mosques are being or will be completed around theworld are a true portrayal of Islamic civilization that “according to Mosque ofcommunication with the Muslim” and “Living around the mosque”. It is due to “anintuitive or explicit spatial pattern, based on this spatial pattern of economic interactionand cultural affinity,” making Islamic civilization not only demonstrated its unique lifeforms (the values under the influence of religious, customs, religion, culture,architecture, arts, etc.), but also reflects the characteristics of geopolitical factors. Therefore, mosque has become an integral part of social life, it is the muslims and theirculture formation, development and heritage of the important places. First, article fromthe field, the basic concept of architectural field, elaborates the architectural fieldforming elements constitute, in the interaction of the various elements, revealing therole of building field-effect intrinsic motivation. Then according to the modern urbanenvironment, mosque and its surrounding environment facing to the problems, thispaper proposes a "Mosque FET" concept, the architectural field-effect theory method isused to guide our knowledge hidden in the mosque building and its surroundingsinherent in the relationship. In order to provide a cognitive perspective of the mosqueand the surrounding environment and the recommendations of constructing the Muslimcommunity environment.
