A Preliminary Study On The Conservation Of Campus Heritage In The Old Campus Of Shaanxi Normal University

As is an important part of the modern architectural heritage，modern campusheritage is getting more and more people’s attention. Campus heritage is a special kindof heritage formed in the process of urban development, which should be aggressivelydefend. Currently, some of the campus architectural heritage have been graduallyreleased to the list of cultural relics protection at all levels. But the weak conception onthe protection of the campus heritage from people, and the campus expansion or theold campus update because of the higher education enrollment, brought a serious threatto the protection of the campus heritage. Especially the land replacement of the oldcampus, separates the continuation of the old campus cultural tradition.The paper takes Shaanxi Normal University as the research object, focuses on thecore issues of "how to recognize and conservative the campus heritage in the oldcampus of Shaanxi Normal University ", based on the collating and summarizing thetheory and practice of modern campus heritage conservation and modern campusheritage value, puts forward the value evaluation standard of campus heritage, as atheoretical guide for evaluation of Shanxi old campus heritage value, and points out thedilemma on the modern campus heritage conservation in China; then, on the premisetracing back the history of Shaanxi Normal University in the old campus andsummarizing campus’ construction process, uses the value evaluation criteriamentioned above, judges the Campus heritage in the old campus of Shaanxi NormalUniversity one by one, determines the Campus heritage’ elements of the old campus ofShaanxi Normal University heritage, which is historical pattern, historic buildings,historic places; and in view of the current situation of campus heritage conservation and the existing problems, under the guidance of the conservation objectives and theprotection principle, proposes the conservation strategy to campus heritage, which isfunction continuity, living state protection, the protection of the heritage elements,legislative conservation.
