The Research Of Highway Of Linear Landscape And Service Area Landscape Design

In the socio-economic development of China, the construction of the highway as anational economic artery shows a trend of rapid development, but the construction ofthe highway road landscape and service area environment do not meet the requirements.The highway landscape and building decoration are combination of technique and art.The different detail treatment, color, combination of space, space, and line shapecombine with the ecological environment. The combination of these factors makes theends and means of the highway landscape perfectly match with each other. The formand function of the highway landscape also coexists harmoniously.In this paper, a comprehensive study on the worldwide highway research status,landscape design and highway development is performed. Also, the landscape designproblems in the highway research are analyzed. The integrated point of views includingpsychology, ecology, and aesthetic concept is applied to study the harmoniousrelationship between highway landscape design and landscape environment. Thepeople-oriented, safety-concerned, sustainably developing design principles areproposed and should be used as highway landscape design standpoint.The ideas and methods for highway structures and surrounding landscape design isdiscussed. During the research, the author visited the landscapes of Xi-Han expressway,Xi-Yu expressway, Xi-Kang expressway, Xi-Bao expressway, Xianyang Internationalairport expressway. Highway instances are examined with typical international highwaylandscape designs. Further analysis and interpretation of the highway landscape designsituation and trend are performed composing the system of the evaluation. These studiesmake the highway landscape design and interpretation more systematic. In this paper, studies have shown that highway landscape design should be includingthe environmental studies, sociology, landscape ecology, botany, behavioral science, art,visual aesthetics, psychology and other related disciplines. It is a very huge project tocarry out research of highway landscape design theory and method. This study isintended to guide the highway service area node landscape design and the linearlandscape design to be wider and deeper. Also, this study improves the development ofthe traditional landscape design to be integrated, inter-discipline, multi-angle,multi-level and systematic, rather than focusing on the discussion on the points ofenvironmental aesthetics and history. This study further provides a feasible reference forhighway landscape construction practice regarding possibility guidance, and practicalissues. It also provides great helps on the fields of highway landscape design, integrateddesign theory, and design method perfection.
