With the rapid economic development of China in recent years, more and morehigh-rise building and super high-rise building is gradually increased, also increasingpile bearing capacity and settlement requirements. Now, belled pier has been one of thewidely used forms of foundation engineering which has a higher bearing capacity andstability, especially for some areas underground adverse thick layer or the bearingstratum buried deeply. This article uses the method of numerical simulation combinedwith real measured data to research the bearing stratum and deformation of belled pierfound.This paper firstly analyzes the dynamic cone penetration and deep load test whichdeterminate the bearing capacity and deformation modulus of foundation in the practicalengineering how to better use. Based on kinds of domestic norm, it obtains an empiricalformula by using the method of calculation and the actual comparison of the dataanalysis. At the same time, the main research on dynamic cone penetration testcombined with the deep load test to better determine the bearing capacity anddeformation modulus.In order to analysis the bearing stratum of belled pier found, one belled pier foundmodel is established by using the ABAQUS finite element method. A belled pier basedengineering examples is chosen to analysis with numerical simulation. It finds thatcalculated and measured result approach well. It proves that the establishment offinite-element model is rational. It finds that the large diameter cast-in-place pile has ahigher bearing capacity compared with the large diameter pile. In addition, the bearingcapacity behavior and load transfer mechanism of a single large diameter cast-in-place pile are studied, include the complexity of axial and frictional load at enlarge part. Next,the effect of the bearing stratum with different deformation modulus on bearing capacityof belled pier is emphasized in the analysis. Then the bearing capacity will increase withincrement of deformation modulus. Some models of belled pier with differentdimension are established. It will analyze bearing behavior of belled pier and includethe law under different size of pier shaft and enlarge bottom. It found that bearingcapacity of belled pier will increased along increment of length of pier shaft and the sizeof enlarge bottom and vertical deformation will decreased, but bearing capacity willdecrease obviously along increment of side of pier shaft.For homogeneous soil, increase the deformation modulus of pile, with soil frictionangle and cohesion, can increase the bearing capacity of belled pier.
