Lightweight energy-saving composite structure RSC, adopting cellular steelbeam and butt-welded closed composite stirrups column which are connected withhigh-strength bolts, is a new breed of structure. Based on previous studies, this thesisis going to do a systematic analysis on calculation models, elastic-plastic pushoveranalysis programs and seismic design methods.The main contents are as follows:First of all, based on low cyclic loading tests of the high strength concretecolumns confined by butt-welded closed composite stirrups, the failure modes andhysteretic curves are analyzed. In order to simulate seismic performances of columnsin the floor ground under different circumstances, the changes of different axialcompression ratios and stirrup ratio on the seismic performance of this column werespecially investigated.Furthermore, a low cyclic loading test of seven the board of overhangingconnection compound welding ring type stirrup concrete column-cellular steel beamjoints was carried out to analyze the force mechanism, damage pattern and seismicperformance of different bolts numbers, bolts arrangements and bolt diameter’snodes.In addition, modal analysis and pushover analysis are executed on the1/2scaleby elastic-plastic analysis program SAP2000. Furthermore, based upon thepseudo-static test of the RCS joints and the high strength concrete columns confinedby butt-welded closed composite stirrups, this thesis compares displacement response,development of plastic hinges, and failure pattern of the structure under differenthorizontal loads. Both practicability and operability of the established model arediscussed.At last, on the basis of the elastic-plastic analysis of RCS composite structureand the research of the engineering practice of structural design at each phase, thisthesis probes into the performance-based practical seismic design method, andbrings the idea of performance-based seismic design into the design method of thisnew structure RSC.
