The flight control computer is the main part of the UAV flight control system, and it plays adecisive role in the performance and security of UAV, and it has an important impact on theavailability, reliability and stability of the entire system. Therefore, the problem on the reliability ofthe flight control computer is becoming more and more important.In this paper, combining with the engineering practice, we design a dual redundant flight controlcomputer system. Based on the flight control computer using MPC5554processor as the core, thesystem added to another set of flight control computer which had the same hardware and function, andsome hardware module as well as software module. So we improved the reliability of flight controlcomputer with a lower cost. This way is implemented easily, costing a little, transplanted easily and isengineering, which shows its better universal.Firstly, according to the fault-tolerant principles and methods, the reliability index, weight,volume, power consumption, cost and redundancy management level, we decide to adopt dualredundant fault-tolerant program, and complete the design of the overall framework.Secondly, based on the overall framework, we complete the dual-redundant computer systemhardware design, which includes the CPU module, A/D module, D/A modules, communicationmodules and arbitration switching circuit module design.Thirdly, based on the overall framework, we complete the dual-redundant computer systemsoftware design, which includes task synchronization technology, voting technology, fault detectionand so on.Finally, According to the reliability model, we analysis the reliability of the system by using theanalysis method of quantitative assessment. Then we use the software of fault injection technology toverify the redundancy system fault tolerance in a laboratory environment.
