The high cost of the Redundant Flight Control System has confined its application range. How to cut down its cost has become a key problem to solve in the aeronautics research field. This thesis gives a low cost solution based on CAN bus for redundant flight control system through performance analysis of Fieldbus Technology, which is a popular technology in automation field in recent years. This thesis also discusses the feasibility of low-cost redundant system and dual bus redundancy scheme of the system bus, provides communication medium redundancy node interface circuit design and analyzes the design blueprint of the digital servomotor's digital controller with CAN bus interface. Thinking of the compatibility with the present flight control system, this thesis also designs the convertor and analyzes reliability of the system, and also introduces the strategy of fault tolerance of the system. CAN bus does not only features in reliability, real time and flexibility, but also in performance/cost ratio. The flight control system based on CAN bus does not only save hardware cost and installation cost, but also save its later maintenance cost. In addition, the fault demarcation and fault-tolerance is more easy to achieve for its unique advantage of CAN bus protocol. At present, many international renowned space research institutes are researching in this field.
