Research On Design Method And Effect Evaluation Of Exhibition Space In Cultural Complex Building

As an emerging cultural and architectural form, cultural complex building hasgreat significance for the development of cultural undertaking. Exhibition spacewhich acts an important role in the space of cultural complex building has alwaysbeen the research hotspot in the field of architecture. Through questionnaire andbehavior observation, this paper combines cultural complex building and exhibitionspace to analyze the visitors’ behavior characteristics and their evaluation of theeffect of space experience in exhibition space. Besides, the design method ofexhibition space in cultural complex building is also discussed in it.This paper has four parts: the first part applies the meaning of culture as thestarting point and grasps the connotation of cultural complex building from theaspects such as contents, combination mode, characteristics and constituentelements. Then it proposes the scientific concept of cultural complex building. Inaddition, it also finds out the connotation of exhibition space from its developmenthistory, characteristics and elements of exhibition space will be used to grasp itsconnotation. In the second part, the method of behavior observation is used toconduct quantitative research of visitors’ characteristics of activities in exhibitionspace of cultural complex building; then it analyzes the connection betweenbehavior and places and provides suggestions in the aspect of design. In the thirdpart, questionnaire is applied to evaluate people’s experience effect in exhibitionspace; this part explores which factors could influence the subjective evaluation.Based on previous research, the fourth part proposed suggestions about exhibitionspace design of cultural complex buliding from two aspects: design method anddesign strategy.Through the research of these parts, this paper combines the characteristics ofdifferent types of exhibition spaces, and analyzes the relationship between visitors’needs and exhibition space from the perspective of behavior psychology. Itprovides further research of this type of space with useful data, and has certainsignificances for the design of exhibition space in cultural complex building.
