As the science and technology continuous developing, many kinds ofhigh-tech weapons or equipment fielded the forces. EOD robot is one of them,which we can use to handle with dangerous ordnance disposal instead of human. Itcan not only avoid human casualties, but also reduce the difficulty of ammunitionhandling. That will improve work efficiency. It has great significance in improvingour military ability of ordnance disposal.The vehicle battery usually can be used as EOD robot power supply, and thebattery charger must be one of the accessory products in the vehicle battery. Thebattery charger performance directly relates to the battery life and efficiency, and itis a bottleneck in EOD robot development. Traditional DC power has big size, lowefficiency, narrow output and poor adaptability. It can’t be suit for high-powerefficient military power system. So it’s necessary to develop the high-powerintelligent high-efficiency military power system. In this paper, we design a100V/100A battery charger for one kind of domestic EOD robot.First this paper introduces several common used DC charging power chargerand their charging ways in order to have a charging solution plan. Then we describethe advantages and disadvantages of the high-frequency soft-switching technology,and carry out a detailed analysis of ZVS full-bridge converter main circuit topologyand basic working principle.Combined with the required power parameters, we design the main circuittopology and the selection of key components. After these job, we can design thesystem control strategy by using UCC3895phase-shifted full-bridge control chip toachieve the voltage and current double closed-loop control. This paper choosePIC16F887microcontroller as the core control chip in the hardware circuit andsoftware control to achieve the protection of the charger, intelligent charging andliquid crystal display and other functions.
