| With the rapid development of china’s economy, lead-acid batteries have beenwidely used in transportation, communication and electricity departments. Especially theemergence of VRLA Batteries make that the electric bicycle is applied widely in our dailylife. But the development of the lead-acid battery charger is slow.At present, the lead-acid battery chargers are not intelligence on the market. Themain details as follows:They are not able to dynamically monitor the voltage and currentvalues of the size of the charger;The charging method is unreasonable, what’s more, theydon’t have the maintenance function;The charging method just is a single kind;We don’tknow about the state of the lead-acid battery and so on.For the above, The author designed the intelligent charger base on the MSP430f169single chip computer, designing the hardware circuit and the software program.With a lot ofcharging and discharging experiments,modifying the charing methods, Not only will it havemany kinds of charging modes, but also it has the maintain function and can extend batterylife.I collected the data of charging and discharging,and analysed the similarities anddifferences in all of charging methods.The innovative points of this article as follows:1.the intelligent charger instrument basing on the MSP430F169single chipcomptuer has the characteristics of low power,simple circuit.2.The intelligent charger instrument has three kinds of charging methods.it candisplay and control the the value of current and voltage,and count the charging time.3.According to the characteristics of the intelligent charger instrument, I designedthe four steps charging mode,which has the maintain function and can extendbattery life,improving the charge efficiency and discharging time. |
