The railway transportation of our country has made great progress in recentyears, the development model of the railway rolling stock has tumed to be"high-speed and heavy-haul". In this case, it requires a higher level of fatiguereliability of railway locomotive and car’s bearing structure especially the frame ofthe bogie. The bogie is an important component of Subway vehicle, the bogie frame isa structural component that can together wheel-axle box device, spring vibrationreduction device, traction system, basis braking and body suspension system etc. Therationality of the frame structure directly decided the quality of vehicle operation andsafety. The strength and stiffness of frame will affect the fatigue life of the vehiclebogie, the running stability of vehicle and the comfortable of the passengers. In orderto ensure the safety of vehicle, it is necessary for frame to analyze the strength, modaland fatigue life.In this paper, the bogie of subway vehicle is researched,3D physical model ofthe bogie frame is finished, the finite element analysis model of the bogie frame isestablished by the software of finite element, virtual test bench model is established inthe software of virtual.lab and the structural analysis is done to it. The grid quality isdecided by the frame’s load position in the process of the model-establishion. The sizeof the virtual test bench and the actuators’s position are decided by the size of frameand turning-braking condition.C-B modal analysis is done to the bogie frame model inthe "Motion" module of virtual.lab to achieve the result of coupled rigid and flexible.In the one hand the C-B modal analysis makes preparations for structural analysis andfatigue analysis, on the other hand it reduces the amount of calculation. The actuators,restraint devices, drive units are established on the virtual test bench which simulatesthe realistic test bench’s working principle and the strength analysis is done to thebogie frame model in different coditions. Finally, based on the analysis results andload-spectrum and unit force the fatigue life and damage distribution state of frame ispredicted in the module of "Durability".
