In this paper, according to the achievements of arch construction, diseases andcauses, the current situation of arch reinforcement is pointed out and investigated.Common methods of arch Bridge construction are summed; domestic and foreignresearch results of current CFRP strengthened arch and its weaknesses are collectedand collated, and basing on the research, the research content of the CFRP Reinforcedconcrete arch is determined. For the actual arch reinforcement, basing on the study of concrete materials andits structural damage, using of the basic principles of fracture mechanics, themechanism of CFRP reinforced concrete arch is summarizes. Then a concrete archstructure and related materials, parameters are designed, and4samples in thelaboratory were molding into concrete arches; on the basis of theoretical calculations, reinforcement program and loading program are determined by four tests and datameasurements such as loading cracking-pouring process-Bucharest sticky solid-loaded during the implementation of structural damage. For three different types ofCFRP paste (type, U type, ring type) reinforcing effects, from the load-midspandeflection curve, bearing capacity, stiffness, deformation, CFRP strain and failuremodes, crack propagation and other relational structure several indicators ofperformance are for comparison, contrast studies and arch parallel study.Basing on the study, finite element analysis software ANSYS is used formodeling calculations to verify the accuracy of the model. The theoretical results andexperimental comparative analysis can be summed up in good agreement between theproperties of the two, namely: CFRP reinforced concrete paste arch stiffness, structural capacity, deformation and crack propagation, failure modes are all improvedin the contrast arches. In the same loading conditions, different types of CFRPreinforcement paste have different impact on the test. There are differences betweenthe arch and its reinforcing effect, the best is to paste ring shaped, U-shaped secondly,and-shaped at last. The experimental research of pasting CFRP reinforced concrete arch cancomplement the insufficiency of current research literature concerning to practical arch reinforcement. And research results in the arch bridge can provide certain aspectsof theoretical and technical support.
