Fiber Reinforced Polymer(FRP)is a novel material which was originally applied in aerospace field and has widely serve the civil engineering industry.Compared with other building materials, fiber composites exhibite excellentcorrosion resistance, light quality, high strengthened no maintenance after construction.Based on the current research status of FRP,the domestic and foreign researches mainly focus on the reinforcement of undamaged concrete beams. In this paper, the experimental research on reinforced concrete beams reinforced after damage is conducted with futher finite element simulation using ABAQUS software. The main work of this paper is as follows:First, check the relevant data specifications. The mechanical properties of CFRP reinforcement materials are understood, and the methods and theories of CFRP reinforcement technology are summarized.Comparing the domestic and foreign codes of CFRP reinforcement, summarizing the similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages of national codes;Suggestions for improvement of different specifications are proposed.Secondly, design and make a group of three identical test beams. The flexural capacity test of the normal section of the beam is designed to test whether the beam is damaged or strengthened. The experimental results show that pasting carbon fiber can effectively improve the ultimate bearing capacity of concrete beams and restrain the crack development of concrete beams. Finally, the experiment was simulated by using ABAQUS finite element software. The corresponding complements and references are made through the simulation.By comparing the coincidence degree between the finite element software and the test data, the reliability of the finite element software to the test numerical simulation is proved.Furthermore, the mechanical properties of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with different damage degrees are analyzed.
