Building energy consumption take up a large proportion of society’s total energy consumption, while domestic hot water accounted for the main part of the building energy consumption. Under the dual pressure of the energy crisis and environmental pollution, the use of solar thermal technology sought after by people. However,there still comes many defects of glass vacuum tube solar water heater, which are widely used currently.For example:this kind of solar water heater can not make good Combination of buildings,it can’t be widely used in high buildings,only has simple control function, can not estimate specific energy savings and so on.Under the study of the glass vacuum tube solar water heater, in this paper, it puts forward the design of the smart solar water heater system, which based on technology of GPRS. The system takes the split-type structure, the heat collector chooses the flat-plate solar collector which can make good combination of high architecture and can run with high pressure. The water tank is placed in the room and connected to the heat collector by pipes. The control of the hot water system use the structure model of controller+data transfer unit DTU+the remote monitoring center. The Controller can detect real-time temperature of the water heater, water using status, work hours and so on. In addition it can also detect the actual energy savings and transmit the information mentioned to DTU through the communication interface of485. Then,DTU transmits the information to the remote data center through the network of GPRS. And finally, by accessing the remote data centers, users can make control of the water heater for anywhere、anytime.The chip of LPC1114is taken as the CPU of the controller, and the hardware circuit mainly includes temperature and water-level sampling circuit, the clock memory circuit, switch control circuit, display circuit and485communication circuit. Taking full account of the functional defects of the current water heater, the software desgin of the controller make research on the run mode of the controller,habit of water user, control of temperature, calculation of accurate energy savings, data transmission and so on.the Microprocessor of LPC1768is selected as the CPU of DTU.The hardware circuit of DTU mainly includes system reset circuit,ISP download circuit,GPRS communication circuit,485communication circuit and so on. The software desgin takes use of the Embedded uC/OS-Ⅱ real-time operating system, and the modular multi-task structure is used in the design.Besides,it studys the detailed design of communication between DTU and the data center, DTU and the controller.In the end of the paper,it makes detailed analysis of the desgin idea of the remote monitoring center,and makes a series work on system testing and researchment.The system has good combination with buildings,It can not only be applied to low buildings but also can be applied to modern high buildings. Through the technology of the internet of things,the user can control and monitor the solar hot water heater at any place, any time. Meanwhile, the function of accurately measurement of The energy savings of the system will make it become the new darling of the carbon trading market in China.
