Industrial division of labor with the new economic era and the development of industrial design has continued to go global, this is a global phenomenon.This prompted the formation of a new industry, that is around the industry, creating a new product design ways and means.But in reality is dependent on companies around the product or brand, or product system among the leading products of added value.Product design has led to the homogenization of the seriousness of various fields have begun to realize the importance of peripheral products, and competition as a new means to implement.As a result, a large number of peripheral products into the market, product design with the surrounding into an unprecedented period.For design, the design in order to grasp the trend of the future, it is necessary for the design of products around.This paper studies the following aspects:the research background, the formation of peripheral products; surrounding product definition, content and features; product design around the theoretical basis; design principles and ideas around the product.Consumer demand for personalized, diversified characteristics of peripheral products can be fully expressed, the product also need to do around the design to meet this demand conditions.Product design as the product of the system peripheral subsystems, only by the system theory approach to planning its design, so to make peripheral products into production systems among the production systems with dynamic adaptability and its function can beeffective solution to this conflict.In this process, through product design to meet the users around the leading products in use are not the function, emotional and psychological.Select, change, and peripheral products to make their portfolio more effectively participate in the design.Thus, system theory and system design from the perspective of analysis is the focus of this article.Also in-depth analysis from the value-added products, find the product gap, a clear idea of product design and direction of the surrounding.Now the economic characteristics and market changes so diversified and personalized features will always exist, forming a never-ending process.In this background, to promote the design direction of thinking through the surrounding to create new products and industries, as well as enhance the competitiveness of the brand, adding new value-added products provides a policy.
