With the high-speed development of the world’s economy, as one of the oldestmode of transportations, the water transport is still prosperous in recent years, themarine transportation is even named as the carrier of the world’s trade.But with the growing prosperity of the marine transportation, oil spills whichwere caused by oil tankers and other transport tools happened frequently, the oil spillbrought serious pollution and great damage to the marine ecological environment.At the same time it also brought huge economic losses, the scene of oil spill isvery cruel. In recent years several major oil spill events make the oil pollution becomethe focus of all fields. When the oil spill happen,how to forecast the drift diffusion ofthe oil spill and how to clear it become the current research of the scientific workers.At present, the related researches on marine oil-spilling visualization mostly tend to2D, but3D aspects there still exist many defects in physical model, simulation effectand system functions aspect. This subject aims to establish a highly immersed senseof3D oil spill interactive environment based on the i4Ocean platform, and do thefollowing studies:1) Based on the current numerical simulation research on oil spill, todeduced a new discretization motion equation, which can reflect the motionlaw of oil spill in complex environment conditions, and more suitable for therealization by computer graphics.2) Using the out-of-core algorithm to solve the problem of lowefficiency when rendering a lot of particles. In order to improve the effect ofoil spill,we use GPU to render a custom file 3) Using the i4Ocean’s rendering engine, the particle system and suchother key technologies to realize the real-time dynamic visualization of the oilspill.4) Simulating the process of the oil spill’s drift diffusion,which isunder the wind field and tide field. Comparing the real remote sensing imageswith the visualization results in order to check the system result.5) Through these researches on the aspects above, this articleestablished a complete set of3D visualization and real-time dynamic oil spillemergency treatment system to make up for the shortage in3D researchescurrently. It is proved that the system can do some extend simulate offshoreoil leakage process and meet the users’ request on real-time and interactiveoperation. The research in this paper provided a new solution for marine oilspill accident treatment, and also taken a technical feasibility for the driftdiffusion simulation, emergency decision-making of similar sea floater (suchas Marine rubbish, Hu moss), has a long-term practical significance.
