Study On The Spatial Layout Of Children Playgrounds In Beijing Urban Park

As country with the largiest population in the world, the children in China also has quite a large proportion. The healthy development of children is directly related to the nation’s and nationality’s future. Outdoor game is one of the most important ways for children’s healthy growth, and it plays an important role in children’s physical and mental growth and development. Playground is an important physical foundation for children’s development and an important place for children’s playing. Games can make children develop well, both physiologically and psychologically.With our country’s economic and social development and the deepening progress of our country’s urbanization, the utilization of original city land resources also become more and more intense, compressing the children’s outdoor play space continuously. At the same time, there are also some problems for the existed outdoor playground for urban children, not only macroscopic planning layout, but also microcosmic design level, and great importance should be imposed by the society and related departments.The child psychology, cognitive psychology, environmental psychology, landscape architecture, ecology, ergonomics and other disciplines, for reference when studying children playground layout, were uses in this research and discusses the children playground space layout from different perspectives. And it synthesizes the research findings on children and children games of multiple disciplines, trying to analyze and study the children playground space layout in our country’s urban park, in order to promote the continuous improvement and upgrading of the construction of the children’s playground in urban park, making efforts for the city to create an outdoor game space with more rational layout and better facilities for children.Based on the results from both domestic and foreign studies, taking Beijing urban park as the research target taking children playground in Beijing urban park as a start point, this research studies the spatial layout of children playground. This thesis surveyed current layout situation of the children playground in Beijing urban parks in six districts, and analyzes the existing problems of the children playground as well as the distribution factors that influence the children playground from macroscopical and microcosmic perspectives, thus further discusses and analyzes the spatial layout of playground space in Beijing urban park, analyzes the spatial layout of playground space from aspects of the children playground space layout, space function, landscape elements, the children playground facilities use, site safety design and typical case analysis, then summarizes more suitable principles and methods for the children playground space layout, to provide certain reference and help for the children playground construction in the future.
