The small size concrete element does not act as the main force support element usually,but as a general protective or decorative element, which determines their high requirements ofsecurity and perception. The phenomenon of cracks, corrosion and other deterioration instructures resulting from improper environment, design, construction, management andmaintenance affects the normal use of small size element. If there is not timely maintenance,repair with guardrail intensified deterioration state, it will not only lead to huge economiclosses, what’s more, it will bring about safe hidden danger to user. To repair and consolidatethis kind element, it is necessary to understand clearly the reason of the guardrail concretedeterioration of rail to reasonably predict the service life of it. It will bring about importantpractical significance and economic significance for fence maintenance to put forward arepair method of fence durability on the basis of correct evaluation of the state of deteriorationof the concrete rail.To an intercity railway bridge fence as engineering background, on the basis of theinvestigation of the phenomenon of the fence concrete deterioration, steel corrosion, cracksstate detection, the paper analyses these phenomena, predicts the remaining useful life of thebridge fence, and put forward a method of durability repair of the bridge fence. Theconcrete content is as follows:1. The concrete strength is an important parameter of the state evaluation of concretestructures, but there is no more reasonable method of measuring strength of small components.The paper puts forward a method of non-destructive measurement of small components suchas bridge concrete rail through test, obtains strength curve of different types of elementsthrough the fitting analysis and gets the corresponding correction factor.2. The paper summarizes the disease and analyses the reason through scene detection andinvestigation of the intercity railway bridge concrete rail injury and disease.3. Starting from the concrete carbonation principle and influencing factors andcombining with the concrete strength and carbonation depth of field tests, the paperestablishes the carbonization depth prediction model of small size elements. It also putsforward the method of life prediction of small size concrete elements.4. In allusion to concrete small size components transverse cracks, and through the studyof steel corrosion rate model in crushing zone,this paper puts forward reinforced concretecomponent life prediction method based on transverse cracks and researches the impact ofsmall component service life factor.5. On the basis of clear causes of deterioration of concrete structures, it also describes hemethods and processes of the durability of concrete structures repair from the aspects of therequirements of the performance of the concrete structure repair. Finally it puts forward relevant requirements and evaluation methods for the performance evaluation of repairedconcrete.
