In2011, China’s urbanization rate reached51.27%.The urban population for thefirst time in history more than half of the population. On one hand rapid urbanization has injected newvitality to city, and made an indelible mark in all aspects of urban development. On the other hand, due tothe urbanization development speed too fast, the city planning lag and not perfect, the urban developmentappeared many inevitable problems.The city space layout not only represents the overall appearance of the city, at the same time alsoaffect the overall development of the city. Especially as people life level of further improve, people nolonger blindly pursue economic enjoy, more concerned about their living environment of the city. Urbanopen space is the most active and the most vivid part in the urban space, is an important element for urbanlandscape, is one of the city places to meet residents need, is to promote the orderly development, improveliving environment function. As a part of urban open space, green open space has the ignored influence to theurban open space system.The paper firstly introduces the research background. The author points out at the background thatafter the eastern coastal areas take the lead in developed, the rise of central China, the central plainseconomic zone become the national development strategy, Zhengzhou seize the opportunity speedingurbanization. In the whole space pattern big change of old city zone and new area, the present situation andthe construction of green open space is constitute an important part of the spatial part of Zhengzhou, play the indispensable organization and coordination function. Then base on the literature at home and abroadcombing and development review, the paper point out the theoretical and practical significance ofZhengzhou green open space’s study. Green open space’s research is imperative.Then use ArcGIS9.3, ERDAS8.0software platform, through the research of2012remote sensingimage of Zhengzhou, social statistics data, questionnaire investigation, select BUFFER model as analysisand optimization model, combine with service range, guide Zhengzhou open space system optimization.The full text is divided into three parts which include theory research, empirical research and conclusion.Basically it has the following three conclusions point:Firstly, green open space is an important part of urban open space. At the time of urban spacestructure layout, we should give full consideration to the green open space layout and optimization, playgreen open space landscape ecological service function, improve the urban space layout.Secondly, from green open space analysis, we can see that Zhengzhou green open space layout cannotcompletely satisfy people’s needs. Green space crowded, distribution imbalance, environmental quality isnot high, has become green open space’s manly problems, especially in the center of Zhengzhou.Thirdly, Zhengzhou green open space system optimization is manly focus on green service range ofcoverage, and at the same time, combined with the distribution of population. The elements optimization ofinternal system is the key. Take it from green heart such as the park and garden, from green corridors suchas road net and rivers. Strengthen the continuity of urban green open space, form the city green networkstructure, raise the whole green open space system function.
