A Research Of The Development And Reconstruction Of Ancient Town Based On LOFT Concept

With the further deepening of urban renewal, more and more old building waiting for the award of fate, the reconstruction based on LOFT ideas become the choose of decision makers happen to coincide. The emerging of creative park, not only ensures the inheritance and protection of original building, but also finds the suitable fertile soil for their own growth. So, the LOFT concept, as a regeneration mode of old buildings, seems to be the general approval point of this industry.This paper analyzes the renewal of the old buildings based on LOFT concept in a relatively developed city. Through the analysis of this popular idea, we pray to find a balance point in urban renewal, economic development and historical context. With the further understanding of the LOFT concept, we enhanced the design idea and practical ability, then put forward a new feasible scheme for the reasonable development and utilization of old buildings. At the same time, we realized LOFT concept much clearly, such as the future direction, trends and the influence on the coordinated development between building, environment and city. From a development perspective, we explored the value of using LOFT concept. From the humanities point, we analysed the morphological characteristics of the transformation of the old buildings based on it. We wish the paper become a reliable reference on LOFT concept, and explore the application prospects in the reconstruction of the Dali cultural and creative park.There are six chapters in the paper. The first chapter is the introduction, which indicates the scope of the study. The second chapter is the analysis of the LOFT concept, which described it systematically:the definition, connotation and extension, the production of the concept, its development home and abroad, and the aesthetic value. The third chapter researched the reconstruction of ancient town and urban renewal based on the LOFT concept from a professional point. It introduced the analysis of present situation, the design principle, design form of reconstruction and renewal of ancient town, and the influence of LOFT on the reconstruction of the ancient and urban renewal. Consulted the Shanghai new world and Germany’s Ruhr Industrial Area, we deepened understanding of the LOFT concept. The fourth chapter analysed the LOFT reconstruction of Dali Xizhou town from the design aspect, including the development status of Dali Xizhou town, the background analysis of the reconstruction, transformation strategy of design level and detailed introduction of modification methods. The fifth chapter discussed space reconstruction based on LOFT concept in the light of development from four aspects:the inheritance and protection of old buildings, the creative industries inspires area revival, triggering a new trend, architectural design and bringing new ways for city life. The sixth chapter is the summary, logical combing to the full text, and puts forward the deficiency.
