Cognition About Kunming University Campus Space Based On The Image Of City And Space Syntax

Campus open space is an important environmental vectors of college students live, learn and exchange, campus crowd through cognitive campus open space to get a sense of direction in the environment, a sense of belonging and identity, and ultimately provide guidance to students in the university campus activities. Space Syntax and image of the city are based on space-based cognitive theory of urban design study; the former is objective and quantitative analysis, the latter on the psychological feelings and personal experience of the environment by understanding the user analysis conclusion. With the continuous development of higher education, increasing environmental requirements of campus space, a large number of campus open space environment also faces the test of the new demand. With the the campus gradually ambitious scale, designers rarely give serious consideration from the user’s point of view, or in considering the demand and there is a certain deviation, which greatly affects the quality improvement of the Campus Environment.In this thesis, Kunming University campus open space as the research object based on the image of the city and space syntax two theories to spatial cognition. Cognitive the sketch investigation of four universities in Kunming Chenggong new campus open space through questionnaires, in-depth analysis and research. On this basis, the the Space Syntax axis icon again quantization operation to explore the spatial structure of the deep-rooted, more objective analysis perspective. The two studies complement each other, resulting in a more comprehensive and realistic results, the study indicated that the two factors together determine the identifiability of the campus open space by space structure features and space of the main cognitive behavioral characteristics. Optimization analysis on the basis of the analysis of the case, the individual elements of the campus open space on campus open space design principles for reflection.
