In recent years, with the continuous development of the economy and people’s livingstandards continue to improve, in the scope of world petroleum, these non-renewableresource consumption was significantly more than the environment can stand.Combustion power generation of pollutants generated also produced negative effect tothe environment of the earth.However, the wind energy is a clean, renewable energy power generation, it hastremendous development potential and business activity in this area. With the progressof science and technology, computer and programmable control of the level of scientificresearch in ascension, for wind power control research provides a new way.Global population growth and developing economic expansion, to2050, worldenergy demand may double or even increased two times. The whole of life on earthdepends on both the energy and the carbon cycle. Energy for economic socialdevelopment are crucial, but it has also brought environmental challenges. We mustexplore the energy production and consumption in all aspects, including improvingenergy efficiency, clean energy, the global carbon cycle, carbon resource, waste andbiomass, but also pay attention to them and climate and natural resource problemsbetween. Wind power development is the need of the times.In the wind power control system based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC),mainly is the design of future development direction. Based on the design of PLC windpower control system, in order to ensure the windmill generator yaw system, gear box,hydraulic system, the generator work; by selecting appropriate control method, makingthe system more stable operation, which can effectively improve the utilization rate ofwind power.Starting from the twentieth century seventies,grid-connected wind power generationhas been gradually began to commercialization, technology is increasingly mature,increasing capacity, and stall type asynchronous wind generator has become the mainmodels of the wind farm. As the main form of collecting wind energy, control of thewind turbine is becoming more and more important. At present, in the wind turbine control operation, the PLC control has been widely used at home and abroad.In recent years, because of its many characteristics of PLC is widely used inadvanced industrial countries, has become the standard industrial control equipment. Itis designed specifically for industrial control, electrical, instrumentation, control ofthree sets in one, is the design of PLC wind power control system based on the idealcontrol for electromechanical integration, in order to ensure the windmill generator yawsystem, gear box, hydraulic system, the generator work, by selecting the appropriatecontrol method, making the system more stable operation, which can effectivelyimprove the utilization rate of wind.In this paper, aiming at these characteristics of uncertainty and randomness windenergy, we can use Siemens programmable controller to wind power control. The maincontents include drawing the corresponding electrical schematic diagram and the flowchart, selecting the PLC and electrical components, turbine start-up control, yaw control,temperature control, transformer control and so on.Finally, it needs testing and simulation, using of STEP7-Micro/WIN32programmingsoftware for the PLC program debugging, simulation and online diagnosis and so on, sothat the simulation results meet the design requirements.
