With the influence of logistics in the various fields of national economy increasing, the demand for logistics of walks who are engaged in the production and service is growing. Among them, warehousing as one of the basic function of logistics is particularly important. At present, because of its high efficiency, fast speed, less human consumption etc, Automated Storage/Retrieval System is favored by more and more logistics enterprises and has gradually replace the status of the traditional warehouse storage. In foreign academic circles about the study of Automated Storage/Retrieval System has a long history, but in domestic is still in the ascendant, practical application is only the beginning.It is in this background, this paper regard X cigarette logistics distribution center Automated Storage/Retrieval System as the research object, aim at the short supple of cigarettes caused by the fault of the roadway type stacker for warehouse, put forward a storage strategy to scatter same cigarettes stored into different roadways. The ultimate goal of this strategy is to avoid possible risk because of the faults of the roadway type stacker in the Automated Storage/Retrieval System, guarantee the ongoing of cigarette distribution when the roadway type stacker is down, in order to reduce the economic losses of the distribution center due to the lack of delivery need.At the same time, this paper details the specific operation process of the distributed storage strategy of cigarette, and analyzed the main costs associated with distributed storage and the way of metering through the normative research. On this basis, this paper use a mature model of the number of the suppliers in supply chain issues for reference, and established a cigarette dispersed storage model of optimal number of roadway based on the risk of the failure of the roadway type stacker in order to minimize the expected total cost. This paper also solved a numerical example and analyzed the impact on the optimal number of roadway cause by the changes of main parameters in the model.
