The main transformer is one of fhe main equipments in power plant,an important part ofthe main transformer uprating retrofit is generating set.therefore,research does not involve thecarrier system,transformer capacity plan of cooling ability only increase the cooling system toachieve,whether it is from the importance of main transformer of economy and constructionperiod or the entire project costs,have important practical significance.This paper briefly introduces the calculation method of temperature rise and coolingtransforhailed comparative analysis,through the calculation of short circuit currenttransformer,transformer transformation after the check to withstand short-circuit dynamicstability and heat stability;flow discharge and insulation the problem of aging evaluation ofmain transformer bushing,no replacement of the tap switch,wire and other auxiliarycomponents and transformer oil,the feasibility is demonstrated in theory omly increasecooling capacity of cooling capacity of cooling system of transformer capacity plan.In addition, this paper also analyzes the main transformer of transformer after uprating TestNo.2. Transformer winding deformation test and long induction voltage (with partialdischarge measurement) test results show that, after the reformation of transformer windinginsulation is good, no abnormal. The test results show that the transformer temperature rise,after uprating of main transformer oil temperature and temperature of the windings are incompliance with relevant regulations. In2, the unit full load of No.2main transformer noisetest results show that, the transformer can meet the requirement of safe operation, again fromthe engineering test proof transformer capacity scheme only increases cooling capacity ofcooling system is feasible. No.2Main Transformer Uprating put into operation more thana year, to participate in the power peaking, without any exception occurs and faultphenomenon, proved from the practice of running only increase the cooling capacity of thecooling system transformer capacity increase is feasible.
