In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, cities are in the greatdevelopment and construction. Tall buildings are springing up in city center; accordingly,the depth of foundation pits are adding constantly. For the past few years, China hasconstructed many large-scaled public facilities, which set forward new demand forunderground space, so the deep foundation pit support project has received a greatdevelopment in last10years. For it is difficult for the soil-nailing wall support system tocontrol the transformation of structure and the sedimentation of surrounding buildings, andthe cost of some support system, such as fully inside bracing and diaphragm wall support,is high, the soil-nailing wall support system is not widely used in Hefei. It has been foundthat the pile-anchor support system not only can avoid the transformation of soil-nailingwall, but also has the features of safety, economy and less impact, so it has been applied inthe construction of city center where is surrounded by buildings efficiently.The deep foundation pit support technology involves the knowledge not only ingeotechnical engineering but also in structural engineering, so the knowledge both instructural engineering and geotechnical engineering should be mastered by the researchersand the requirement for theoretical knowledge is high. Combining the theoretical researchof pile-anchor united support technology and project case, the paper researches the workingprinciples of pile-anchor united support system deeply; makes an optimization on thesupport plan; studies the problems of design and construction in actual project, andsimulates the project with the FLAC3Dnumerical simulation software. By contrasting thesimulated results and the actual survey results, the paper draws a conclusion that the resultsget from FLAC3D simulation is feasible in the design and construction of pile-anchorunited support. Some experiences and lessons are also learnt in this paper, which providesome useful references for the application and development of pile-anchor united supporttechnology in Hefei.
