When earthquake happening, the coupling beam is the first line of defense in the structural system of the shear wall and the frame-shear wall. If the structural system of the coupling beam is reasonably designed, it can have enough rigidity and better deformability. When subjected to strong earthquake which rarely happens, the coupling beams may yield first than the wall column and the plastic deformation ability of the tip of coupling beams can dissipate the energy caused by the earthquake, which ultimately reduces the damage of the main structural components in the high-rise structure.The coupling beam controlled by the steel truss, which is studied in this thesis, is a new kind of steel coupling beam structure. At present, the research on the node of the coupling beam controlled by the steel truss at home and abroad is relatively few. As the main part of the structure, the design of the new node is to guarantee the whole structure to realize the ductile failure mode of strong nodes under the effect of the horizontal earthquake. Therefore, by researching on the steel truss coupling beams node, this thesis analyzes the anchorage mechanism and the failure mode of the node, discusses the influencing factors of the bearing capacity of the node and puts forward the relevant design proposal.In this thesis, four experiments of the node of the steel truss coupling beam and shear wall are studied. Then the thesis analyzes and discusses the failure mode of the node region as well as the strain law of the chord member, the vertical rod, the hooping and the concrete in the node. And through the force analysis of steel truss coupling beam node, the formula of the bearing capacity of shearing resistance and pulling resistance of the node and the formula of horizontal and vertical cracking load are deduced. Adopting the finite element software ABAQUS to carry out the nonlinear analysis to specimens and based on the comparison among the chord member, the vertical rod, the hooping, the failure mode and the load-displacement curve of the nodes, this paper verifies the reliability of model building. On the basis of this and the analysis of the anchorage length, the chord member, vertical rod and horizontal stirrup ratio of the different steel and the concrete strength, the suggestion of the design of the steel truss coupling beam is finally put forward.
