When the tunnel goes through fault fracture zone, because of the fractured surrounding rock, developed joint, low strength, bad self-stability, possibly existing high-pressure and rich water and other characteristic, it may easily induce disasters of collapse, gushing water and mud during construction of the tunnel, among which gushing water and mud becomes one of the gravest geology disaster. If it is treated with the improper method, it will cause a series of problems, not only delaying the construction progress, endangering construction safety, improving engineering cost, but also decline of ground water, deterioration of the operating and ecological environment etc. So it need the integrated governance research.Relying on Lingjiao tunnel engineering, comprehensive control was studied by this paper according to gushing water and mud under the condition of fault fracture zone. Based on the investigation and research on engineering and hydrologic geology, geological conditions of gushing water and mud region are especially detected. Combining with the disaster-causing mechanism of groundwater and law characteristics of gushing water and mud, it was analysised on the cause of inrush of clay and water in Lingjiao tunnel. The treatment measures for fault fracture zone of Lingjiao tunnel was proposed according to the condition of gushing water and mud, detection results and the successful experiences of gushing water and mud disater treatment of fault fracture zone at home and abroad.The main contents and some results are discussed as following:1. Based on the tunnel medium’s difference of physical properties, the synthetic analysis and evaluation were carried out on common advanced prediction method. Respectively using integrated detection method of TEM+GPR+advance horizontal boring, LDS+TEM+GPR+advance horizontal boring in Lingjiao tunnel right line and left line, advanced detection and comprehensive analysis were carried out on geological condition of gushing water and mud region. And Combining with the disaster-causing mechanism of groundwater, law characteristics of gushing water and mud in tunnel engineering and conditions of ground investigation, it was analysised on the cause of inrush of clay and water in Lingjiao tunnel.2. Based on the characteristics of Lingjiao tunnel inrush of clay and water, the results of comprehensive geological prediction and the successful experiences of gushing water and mud disater treatment of fault fracture zone at home and abroad, in this paper the strengthening technology of primary support, treatment technology of high pressure and enriched water cavity, pipe-shed parameters, pipe-shed advanced support of gushing water and mud region etc, is studied. It has solved technical problem of the reatment of inrush of clay and water, which has reference value for tunnel construction.
