Abstract/Summary:
Wood-plastic composites window, of which connection technology is based on the method of WPC (Wood-plastic Composites), is an important application of WPC in the area of windows and doors of construction. In order to provide a new selection, ultrasonic welding technology, which is based on the existing connection technology and widely used in recent years, is introduced into the connection of WPC window.Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages of the mechanical connection of WPC window are analyzed according to the existing connection method of WPC window, and two experimental programs of ultrasonic welding are designed. According to the programs, a special fixture of WPC window is designed.Secondly, the right angle ultrasonic welding performance of WPC and experience are executed in the paper. Mechanical feature of weldment is measured and the connection strength of ultrasonic right-angle welding of WPC is tested by universal mechanics-testing machine. The parts are sorted with the vibration time from1s to5s, the tensile strength curve is showed and micro-tissue of weldment is observed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). which is used to detect the selection of ultrasonic welding parameters.Thirdly, according to the experimental program’s result, the connection strength is enough, which is suitable in the production. With the characteristics of ultrasonic welding between corner connector and inner tissue, the ultrasonic welding process of WPC window is designed. In addition, mold injection technique is combined with ultrasonic welding. Window frames are connected by the lumens, which are called plastic injections through drill-holes.Finally, the longitudinal vibration frequency of ultrasonic welding head is analyzed by SolidWorks Simulation in order to meet the requirement of ultrasonic welding process of WPC window. The special ultrasonic welding head of WPC window, of which output face is ladder type, is designed. The welding head has longitudinal vibration frequency under the vibration of15kHz. According to the relationship between eigenvalue and vibration frequency, the welding head is optimized.Based on the working above, the ultrasonic welding process parameters of WPC components are obtained. With these parameters, ultrasonic welding process of WPC window is improved, which have the reference value of theory and practice.
