With the quickly development of modern industry, more and more manufacturing enterprises focused their attention on the lower production costs, in order to improve the market competitiveness. For manufacturing enterprises, they can’t complete the manufacture, transport, distribution and so on without the transportation work. Therefore, the transportation work effectively or not will directly affect the production efficiency of the enterprise, thus influence the cost of manufacture. In the way of traditional transportation work, it generally adopts artificial or half artificial transportation way, this method usually leads to the higher investment in equipment and personnel, and the lower utilization rate. Therefore, we need to design a car for carry goods that can realize automatic tracing the road, to improve and upgrade the intellectualization and modernization level of the traditional transportation way, thus achieve the goal of reduce the production cost. At present, there are many can ways to realize automatic guide for the vehicle in theory, such as:electromagnetic induction guidance, ultrasonic guidance, laser guidance, inertial guidance and visual guidance, etc. Although these guidance methods can accurately complete automatic tracing, but they need too much auxiliary equipment, the control system is also relatively complicated, and the cost of them is higher.In this paper, it design a kind of vehicle for the Logistics or logistics automatic sorting system that can realize automatic tracing and automatic turn, acceleration, deceleration, obstacle avoidance, alarm, and the communication functions with the upper machine. The design was required using the theory and method of modern control to achieve the goal of design simple, tracing accuracy, low cost, strong practicability, easy fabrication. Specific work is as follows:(1) Compared the advantages and disadvantages of a variety of ways to complete the guidance, it eventually made the system design scheme which is based on the infrared guidance.(2) Based on the modular thought, this paper divided the control system into the single chip microcomputer module, tracing module, obstacle avoidance module, motor drive and power conversion module, In order to complete the system hardware design.(3) In order to meet the requirements for the system to realize the automatic tracing function accurately, it was proposed the PWM control strategy for motor speed adjustment based on Infineon XC836microcontroller. This strategy adjust the speed of motors by changing the parameter values in the CCU6compare unit of XC836microcontroller, so as to improve chip resource utilization, simplify the software design.(4) In order to improve the practicality and controllability of the carrier, it design the upper machine control window by the VB programming, and eventually complete the upper machine control the carrier model combination with the RS232serial communication interface.(5) According to the operation situation of the carrier model, to find the design defects of the control system’ parameters, and finally to realizes the parameter gradually optimization Settings, thus to achieve the goal of carrier accurate tracing.
