Research On Landscape Planning And Design Of Beijing New Town Forest Park

Recently, as the process of urbanization has significantly accelerated,many major cities of China have to face all kinds of "Major City Issues", and a sharp decline of the quality of inhabited environment occurs. With efficient forest ecosystems, urban forest park can provide leisure-oriented entertainment places for citizens to release stress and to get close to nature, which is urban green space important to improving human settlement. As the research object of this paper, Beijing new town forest park belongs to an urban forest park, which lies in between forest park and urban park. Beijing new town forest park is planned and constructed for the purpose of solving conflicts between Beijing new town development and environmental construction, and improving Beijing urban forest park system. Research on the landscape planning and design of Beijing new town forest park has profound significance.This paper analyzed related information and data about construction of new town and forest parks both in China and abroad, generalized and defined concepts related of Beijing new town forest park, sorted out and summarized related theories as guide and support for the study, and indicated laws and regulations to be referred to and followed which made the landscape planning and design of Beijing new town forest park more scientific. After defining the relationship between new town and central urban area of Beijing, Beijing new town forest parks and urban forest park system, based on comparing aspects such as traffic conditions, water body type, forest-water relationship, forest form and construction of Beijing new town forest parks, choosing representative Beijing new town forest park as survey objects, analyzed their current situation of landscape, furthermore summarized the characteristic of Beijing new town forest park’s landscape in three aspects which referred to natural environment, regional arrangement and landscape elements. According to the characteristic of Beijing new town forest park’s landscape, this paper proposed the goal and principals of its landscape planning and design. Based on previous research of this article, by comprehensively applying related theories, contents of landscape planning and design were summarized in aspects such as site selection, scale and capacity, conservation planning, function area-dividing, landscape forms planning, planning and design of plant landscape, water landscape, architectural oddments and road transportation.In order to combining theory with practice, proposed studies were applied to landscape planning Beijing Future Science and Technology Waterfront Forest Park as an example for verification, providing reference for landscape planning of new town forest parks in the future.
