The Automatic Mechanical Transmission (short for AMT) normally worked insevere vibrating and shocking environment, the reliability of actuator has thus becomeone of the most important performances of AMT, which is also one of the crucialproblems that hinder the process of AMT marketization. For the lack of testingmethods, road test and proving ground test were adopted as the main test methods forAMT actuator reliability, which are waste of time and money and also mean poorrepeatability. Whatsoever, the indoor reliability test for AMT actuator is almost a blankso far. The road simulation test based on remote parameter control (RPC), which caneffectively reproduce the real motion and force of automobile components, waswidely used in indoor reliability test.Firstly, on the basis of kinematic and mechanical analysis of AMT actuatorassembled on the real car, the sampling method of AMT road load spectrum wasestablished and road load data was collected on Xiang yang proving ground. Then theinterference signal was eliminated using such pretreatment technique as filter and soforth. Through analysis in both time-domain and frequency-domain, the distributioncharacteristic was got and the repeatability was verified.Accordingly, a three-channel road simulator was developed combined with RPCtechnology, and the multi-body dynamic model was also built in ADAMS. Throughsimulation and analysis, the design was verified and further optimized, after which amulti-channel test system, which can effectively simulate the main3DOF of the AMTactuator, was set up and proved to be reasonable.Thirdly, multi-channel road simulation test for AMT actuator reliability wasdeeply studied. After the response characteristic of the test system such as PIDF wasaccurately adjusted, the frequency response function was got by exciting the systemwith white noise signal. Based on RPC technology and through a great quantity of test,factors that may affect iteration accuracy were fond and the desired response signalsof the AMT actuator were successfully reproduced in the lab.Finally, multi-channel road simulation test method based on real road loadspectrum for AMT actuator reliability was proposed and summarized, and theenhancement test was tentatively explored.
