At present, ZPW-2000A track circuit system is one of the most important railway signalequipments that widely used in china, which performance is directly related to the efficiencyand safety of the railway transportation. Making scientific and effective maintenancestrategies for equipments is necessary mean to enhance reliability and security.Based on these reasons, this dissertation describes the research based on the reliabilitycentered maintenance (RCM) for the ZPW-2000A track circuit system. The main contents areas follows:Firstly, the structure and function of ZPW-2000A track circuit system are studied byusing failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) to analyze the failure modes and effects, the expertsurveys and field investigations methods to analyze the failure mode that based on thefunction of device subsystems, the cause of failures, the effect of failures, the severity levels,the occurred degrees and the detectability levels. The risk accuracy of the analysis isimproved through using the analytic hierarchy process to determine the right weight ofseverity level, the occurred degree and the detectability level, and the risk level of equipmentfailure modes which adopted risk priority numbers (RPN) to complete the risk analysis of thefailure mode.Secondly, based on the analysis of FMEA, the classifications of equipment failure effectare determined by using the RCM theory. The maintenance ways are analyzed according toRCM logic decision map and the sorts of equipment failures’ effect to get the reasonablemaintenance of equipment subsystems, in addition, the maintenance intervals calculatedmodels are determined according to the economy and the availability Principles. Then, theoptimization recommends of equipment maintenance management measures are gained on thebasis of the analysis results, which to complete the optimization of equipment maintenancemanagement.Finally, the content of this dissertation is summarized and the problems existing and thefurther work need to do are mentioned. What’s more, the RCM theory applied to railwayequipment maintenance management is prospected.
