It is necessary to observing during the process of site selection of the candidate sites, through the accumulation of a large number of observation data analyses, and comparing with international excellence stations, so as to determine whether the new sites suitable for the construction of the next generation of large telescopes. And astronomical site generally located in very tough conditions:remote, harsh, the transportation and information transmission is very inconvenient, if required the observation personnel in new sites for field observation of control for a long time, will make the job more difficult. The remote and autonomous telescope control greatly lower the requirements for personnel and improve the observation quality.ASCOM as an international popular standard for software development platform provides an easy way to developers. It introduced a driver layer between the equipment and software, shielding the differences between different equipment. The software only need to call the ASCOM device properties and method, it will operate directly on the equipment. Based on existing telescopes autonomous control system and after research of the ASCOM system. We develop the system by using DCOM model, and the ASCOM system’s interface properties and methods. So we final designed a system which can independently control the telescope and remote control to the astronomical site selection of telescope system prototype.First, the thesis research, location of telescope control system was designed and implemented. System mainly includes the server and client in two parts, in order to achieve the purpose of remote control equipment and network bandwidth minimum, designed for server and client communication based on TCP’s ASCII commands, at the same time defines a communication protocol.Second, in response to the communication condition, was designed and implemented the server script independent observation control function. Server by parsing the XML script or local receiving network transmission to the XML script (we define the XML script, recorded in a script to observation task), for observation target information, independent observation was carried out on the target.Third, due to the precision of the polar axis, equipment periodic variation, the center of the telescope primary mirror won’t last observation target, so we designed and implemented in the process of independent observation guide star feature to automatically track error correction. Through greater guiding telescope observation field of view, find the location of bright stars, calculate the adjust bright stars into the center of the primary mirror view Angle, to move by move the bright stars at the center of the primary mirror.Fourth, in the process of independent observations, to observation target system of CCD image acquisition and processing, we have designed to distinguish the scripts and observations, and target image save structure to save the collected images classification. In the process of guide star, for guiding telescope image obtained by CCD, and obtain the most highlight the location of the image information, used to guide star move computing telescope.Finally, the system measurement and accuracy analysis, through the telescope remote control remote control test to validate the system’s ability, through telescope precision test analysis system control accuracy, through the telescope status test to detect the autonomous control is achieved in the process of autonomous control ability. Finally determined that the function of guide star to automatic target for validation. Through measurement and accuracy analysis, proves that using ASCOM technology location of telescope control is entirely feasible, ASCOM through implementation of the control system, has a short development cycle, easy deployment, etc, can satisfy the requirement of remote control location telescope.
