As an economic, clean and reproducible energy, hydro-electricity arouse people’s wide concern, hydropower technology is developing with a high speed in the world.However, there are still a lot of hydropower resources which have been not exploited and utilized all over the world, especially a few small flow rivers.In view of this,this paper carries on a further research on a half direct-drive Hydroelectric power system based on pelton turbine.First of all, a new kind of high-efficiency water turbine which is suitable for small flow rivers is studied and modified in this paper, and according to its operation characteristic, a permanent magnet generator driven in a way of half direct-drive is matched for it, so this thesis strives to set the low cost and high efficiency of power generation for the whole generator system.Secondly, drawing lessons from other small hydropower automation technology and relevant experience, this article puts forward a way of the combination of PLC and DSP to build a small hydropower integrated automation which adopts hierarchical structure and functional partition of design thinking. It is structurally divided into main control layer and field control layer. Industrial control mechanism constitutes the main control layer, PLC, DSP and touch screen constitute the field control layer. PLC is responsible for sequence control of the whole generator system and is used to communicating with host computer. Receiving controlling signals from the PLC, DSP finishes the data acquisition and processing to complete related functions and feeds back the information of generator protection, speed regulation, voltage regulation and the state of synchronizing parallel to the PLC. On the function, modular design makes the system easy to maintain and debug, catering to the design principle of the small hydropower automation.It should be pointed out that, the DSP board adopts DSP and CPLD chip structure in the system. It mainly realizes the functions of generator protection, turbine speed, generator voltage regulator, synchronizing parallel and data acquisition and communication management function. Among them, the measuring frequency link in the speed adjustment technology obtain the unit frequency by using the Multicycle frequency measurement module in the desgin of CPLD.In the Voltage regulation technology, compensation winding with capacitive load is placed on the stator of permanent magnet motor,thus to the capacitive current maintains a constant air-gap magnetic field, and ultimately maintain the stability of the voltage of the machine. Finally, the speed adjustment and voltage regulation technology is simulated by the simulink tool.
