As we all know, automation Power system is direction of development and core ofthe power system in the future, In the generation, transmission, distribution, automationfor all have room for development and prospects.Because the construction ofsubstations often geographically more remote areas,This determines the duty not longstationed in the substation, and because of the substation area is larger,Man alone isdifficult to take care of a comprehensive monitoring, therefore, in order to ensure thesafety of the substation, stable and reliable operation, the need for intelligent monitoringsubstation. Achieve unattended, reduce staff workload, improve work efficiency andquality of work.Traditional substation automation control system mainly poor scalability、flexibility is not enough and structure is relatively simple, Can not meet thedevelopment trend of the existing power,Thus, by analyzing the above problem.In thispaper a review of relevant literature,Analysis of the system-related needs,Usingobject-oriented hierarchical distributed technology, combined with the traditional C/Smode. In order to have better scalability, Adoption modular for Substation monitoringsystem,the existing substation monitoring system for the relevant optimization.And theuse of this system in Chengdu Electric Power Bureau, through the operation of thesystem proved effective in the real-time monitoring of the substation, and can be timelysubstation fault alarm and precise positioning, improve work efficiency. Meet thesubstation management related needs.
