The Power Capability of Power Grid(PCPG) is an important target for judging the rationality of power grid, it can also express the condition of the grid. So the PCPG plays an very important role in the power network planning and power grid dispatching. The regional power grid has its owner features:the part of high voltage is the transmission network, and the lower voltage is the distribution network. So, it is restricted by more elements than a single transmission or distribution network, and it is complex for Calculating the PCPG of area power grid.The power grid of Hangzhou is a representative receiving-end system. Besides of this, it also has other feature. In recent years, the PCPG in Hangzhou cannot satisfy the needs of energy, and we had not any method for calculating the PCPG correctly. So it is very imminent.In this thesis, the grid and its operating feature in regional power grid are analyzed deeply. The methods for calculating the PCPG have been synthesized. The concept of "Available PCPG" is submitted, and the model is also built in the thesis. Based on the model, the "Dynamic Analysis System for the PCPG of Hangzhou Power Grid" is developed, which play an active role in the power network planning and power grid dispatching.
