The Application Of Bamboo Resources In Environmental Art Design

In Chinese five years civilization history, bamboo has infiltrated of people’s material and cultural lives in various ways. The physical property of bamboo is recognized as the scientific technology developed, and its cultural property is inherited and developed as the civilization is improved. Resource usually is grouped into natural resource and social resource. In "the explanation of economics""resource" was defined as the inputs in the production process. This definition shows that resource is a kind of production factor. In the environmental are design, bamboo resource is a special designed object which contains the use of bamboo’s material and cultural property.The using of bamboo in environmental art design is not new. however, as people attach more importance to it, there are a lot of changes. bamboo is widely used in environmental art design. people not only enjoy sight of bamboo in a traditional way, but also make use of its wood and meaning in a new way. in the "national medium and long-term plan for science and technology (2006-2020)" the green building, energy saving and the development and utilization of biological resources of agriculture and forestry are given priority to. Bamboo as a building material can be instead of wood. As its widely used in environmental art design, the single mode use even abuse of bamboo resource arised, and there are a lot of problems to be solved in application, a new way need to be explored. This thesis study the application of bamboo resource in environmental art design. It summarizes bamboo’s culture ideology in environment design; analyses the value of bamboo resource’s design in the aspects of culture, aesthetic, ecological function and economic. Through clearing the history of bamboo culture, to know the formed structure of bamboo culture, and to explain the relationship between bamboo resource and environmental art design. Then, from three aspects to analyze the application of bamboo resource in environmental art design respectively’; through some examples to introduce various application form of bamboo resource and summarize the its advantages and disadvantages; and introduce some application forms based on the advantages and think out some method to solve the disadvantages. At last, give the conclusion on the whole analysis on the application of bamboo resource in environmental art; put forward the idea for bamboo resources using systematic pluralism in environmental art design, and hope to be able to further dig the deep connotation and forms of bamboo resource in environmental art design.
