In currently, atmospheric pollution has became the worldwide problems, especially as the development of automobile industry, the emission of automobile further aggravates it. Meanwhile the consumption of oil resources gets worse. It is an urgent problem to be solved for looking for alternative energy and reduce emissions of vehicle. As the development of computer technology and fluid mechanics, engine simulation becomes a hot area of research because of the advantages. As new alternative fuel, the quality of butanol similar with gasoline and has advantage over methanol and ethanol, butanol is potential to be used in ICE. The paper uses CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to establish the three-dimensional model of SQR272, classify model grid, set the dynamic mesh, boundary conditions, and the combustion process of ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) fueled with butanol and butanol/gasoline were studied, parameters in-cylinder and NOx emissions are analyzed. The paper focuses on conventional gasoline engine fuled with pure butanol and butanol gasoline blends, and DI (Direct Injection) gasoline engine fuled with pure butanol and butanol gasoline blends. The study of these two aspects lay a theoretical and experimental basis for the ICE fuled with butanol efficiency and low pollution. The result of study shows that the performance of B10and B20in ordinary gasoline engines were not inferior to gasoline, while the performance were slightly reduced when fuled with B30, the performance can be regained while advancing spark timing. The NOx emission of blends inferior to gasoline under the same circumstance, but it changed fierce when the percentage of butanol and spark timing varied. In the DI Spark ignition engine, the peak value of in-cylinder gradually reduced as the percentage of butanol increased, while the temperature态 pressure and NOx emission of each blends increased first and then decreased as the spark timing advanced.
