Spatial characteristics study of streets hasbeen analyzed from two aspects of walking and shared values, contradictorycoexistence of prosperity and rundown; remediation manner and effect have beenanalyzed from four aspects of walking space, function, scenery and facilities.Meanwhile, evaluation of the effect of every street’s renovation has been made fromfive hierarchy of needs of patency, safety, convenience, comfort, place of pedestrian space. Last, comprehensive comparison of selected three cases of the streetscaperenovation with different features would be made,so that comprehensive evaluation ofsome common and the impact of the pros and cons of the individual practices topedestrian construction in streetscape renovation in Chongqing would be made out and, meanwhile, Revelation of this study to future urban construction would be proposed inend of the article. The paper follows the logical of "basic theory-the actual state of the investigation-analysis and evaluation" to organize the articles main content, the full text can bedivided into three parts:The first part, including the first two chapters that is the basic theory research inthe paper; the first chapter briefly describes the research background, origin, purpose, meaning extent, content and method; and define the relevant concepts involved in thepaper.
