With the development of Hangu District, its economic development is rapidlygrowing as a part of BinHai Area. The demand in households is increasing day by dayand the demand for industrial use is increasing day by day too. The capacity of HanguDWTP can not meet the demand of Hangu district. Considering the development ofHangu development, the expansion of Hangu DWPT is very necessary. Now, thescale of Hangu DWPT is5000m~3/d, the scale of expansion project of Hangu DWTPis5000m~3/d, it will be built in the current DWPT.The expansion project of Hangu will be built in the current DWPT. Be restrictedby the first project,the expansion project will be built in the available space belongsto the first project. So the designer will consider not only the feasibility of the process,but also the saving of space.The expansion project includes the new filter station, the new sedimentationworkshop, the new clean water tanks and so on. Total floor space is10250m~2,totalarea of buildings is9500m~2.The custom treatments scale of the expansion project is50000m~3/d, thedeep-treatment and sludge treatments scale is100000m~3/d. Water consumption inwater works is5%of total supplying water.The process selection response to the energy-saving policy. Meanwhile, we mustconsider to save space for deep-treatment and sludge treatmentsin the further. Theoutlet water quality must be meet the demand of "Standards for Drinking waterQuality"(GB5749-2006).Water treatment process on the expansion project can provide the process thathas high safety of water quality and fit local production-management level. Theresearchier made comparisons of the treatments plan for pre-treatment, mixing,flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection treatments. In the end wechoose "mechanical mixing+PULSAZUR+V filter" as the main water treatmentprocess.
